This is a self-initiated cover project in which I created a modern reinterpretation of the novel Lånat liv (original title Double Take) by Brenda Joyce. The story revolves around twin sisters Kait and Lana, where Kait is forced to step into her sister’s life and assume her identity – a life shaped by lies, secrets and hidden threats. In the cover design, I worked with shifted and repeated image fragments to convey fragmentation, unstable identity and the boundary between self and someone else. The blurred, unstable expression reflects how control gradually slips from Kait’s grasp and how maintaining a borrowed life becomes increasingly difficult.
